First open your interface. (Image below is the result of the interface basic shapes tutorial)
Now use the circle selection tool to select a circle the size you want your bolt to be. Then save your selection for future usage.
Now, on a new layer, fill your new selection with a Linear gradient, with your foreground color white, and bg color a medium gray. When you fill it, fill it at a diagonal angle, so that the light portion is on the top left, and the light portion to the bottom right.

Now, make a new layer, and go edit>stroke and stroke your selection with a dark gray, with the value of 2 px.
Then go to filter>blur> Gaussina Blur, with a value of 1. Now you should have something like the image below

Now on a new layer, use the rectangle selection tool to select a thin rectangle going vertically across your bolt (in the center) You may want to zoom in. Then fill your selection with a Linear gradient, using the same foreground and bg colors as before. This time make sure that the light color is the the right.

Now load your selection that we saved earlier (outline of your bolt) while staying on the same layer. Contract your new selection by 2 (select>modify>contract) then inverse it (select>inverse)

Now delete. This should leave you with the correct amount of gradient, so it fits exactly on your bolt. Now, make a layer, that is under all of your other layers (except your bg, and main interface shape) Now load selection, and expand by 2. (select>modify>expand) Now fill your selection with a gradient, but let the light part be on the bottom right.

Now position your gradient directly under your bolt.

Now you are done, merge all your layers, except your interface layer, duplicate them, and place bolts all about your interface!

There you go, now that you got your interface, and your bolts. Head on over to the next tutorial!
Hope you enjoy it & learn something new from this tutorial.
